Fast

For me, fasting is not limited to just a physical, dietary issue.

Okay, that the unfed state allows the body to repair itself, at the same time as it removes all the waste produced inside, which self-regulates and such.

Ok, this process takes place in an orderly manner.

As the body is not being supplied with food, to generate energy it will make difficult decisions when feeding on itself, following a scale of priorities.

First it will eliminate the oldest cells - those that are almost dying - useless for your life maintenance system, then it will focus on sick and compromised cells, which also put your survival project at risk...

And soon after the pre-cancerous or already cancerous ones.

And the best thing is that all of this is proven.

Nobel Prize winner for Medicine Yoshinori Ohsumi, managed to prove to the entire academy at least three things in his studies that led him to be awarded the much-famous prize:

a) sleeping on an empty stomach is good for your health;

b) prolonged fasts are more efficient than short ones;

c) that during fasting a process called autophagy occurs.

In fact, the study that won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2016 investigated the process of autophagy in yeast cells, which does not invalidate its conclusions.

Ohsumi proved that a similar mechanism is used in the human body's cells to recycle their system.

The Nobelist did not categorically state that there are benefits to fasting before bed, but he demonstrated a fasting process in his laboratory, in a living organism.

Let's agree that no industry is interested in this type of study, which states that NOT EATING is better than staying fed all the time.

So, let's not have expectations that we will move beyond what is already proven, in a short period of time.

The tip is the usual: “know yourself”.

See how you feel when you are in a state of flow: focused on a task, study or entertainment.

Fasting will help you focus: your senses will be sharper, you will hear better, you will smell better and... you will become smarter.

And truth...

This is a mechanism developed by the wonderful process of natural evolution to help the fasting animal find its kill.

However, be warned: fasting is not for everyone.

Although some studies suggest that fasting cures diabetes, it can be dangerous for people with some comorbidities.

So, get to know yourself and your body.

Give preference to real foods, which keep us full for longer.

And enjoy the process.

At first your ego will be screaming in your ears that you will die at any moment.

Ah, the ego...

In fact, fasting is a great mechanism for indoctrinating the ego.

But, that's a conversation for another post...

Who knows video?!
